Jasmine Topor, Founder 

Jasmine is the Founder of the Korea Israel Innovation Center (KIIC), which assists Korean corporations in identifying strategic technologies and investments in Israel.  

 

With 17 years of experience in technology and private investing, she has gained expertise in analyzing new technologies, companies, and management teams.

 

Jasmine has a strong network within the Israeli start-up and venture capital community, facilitating successful collaborations. Prior to establishing KIIC, she led asset allocation to illiquid fund investments in various sectors and worked at Star Ventures, a prominent player in the Israeli Ecosystem.  

 

Jasmine's professional journey began in an elite Intelligence Research unit in the Israeli Defense Forces, and she holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, Israel.

Keren Levy, Executive Director

Keren Levy is Executive Director at the Korea Israel Innovation Center.

She was responsible for developing strategic relationships between top Israeli startups, entrepreneurs, VCs, and leading Korean corporations and investors.

 

Keren has 12 years of Corporate Innovation and Business Development experience, working with F500 companies from different business areas.

Prior to joining the Korea Israel Innovation Center, she led global digital strategies, established digital marketing methodologies and in her recent role she has established a Tel-Aviv based Innovation team for a multi-national enterprise and partnered with significant stakeholders from the local startup ecosystem (including VCs, startups and technology scouters).

Keren served in the Psychotechnical Diagnostic Unit of the Israeli Defense Forces and holds a BA in Business from the IDC (Interdisciplinary Center) and an MBA from The College of Management in Israel, both with honors.

Ohad Topor

Senior Advisor

Mr. Topor is Senior Advisor to the Korea Israel Innovation Center. He is the Founder and Chairman of TCK (Topor & Co Korea). TCK is an investment management boutique (Multi-Family Office) in Seoul and London that specializes in global investing on behalf of prominent private and corporate clients in Korea.

Throughout the last 17 years, Mr. Topor has been investing in diverse investment opportunities from around the world on behalf of clients and his family, managing investments for Korean clients since 2009. He has broad experience allocating to global Equities, Bonds, Absolute Return Strategies, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Real Estate.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Topor was part of the investment management team at Square Capital, a private investment office based in London and Paris. Prior to that, he directed family investments as well as held director roles in family-owned companies. He also founded a nonprofit organization for the development of a rural area in Israel.

He served in the intelligence unit of the Israeli Defense Forces. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, California and a BA in Economics from Tel‑Aviv University, Israel.

Dr. Meir Barel

Senior Advisor

Dr. Barel is Senior Advisor to the Korea Israel Innovation Center. Dr. Barel has been engaged in the international venture capital business for the past 25 years.

He established STAR Ventures in 1992 with the objective of investing in companies affiliated with Israel. Since its inception in 1992 Star Ventures has built over 180 cutting-edge high-technology companies, resulting in over 82 IPOs and profitable acquisitions. With $1B under management, STAR is known for teaming with leading serial entrepreneurs and innovators on disruptive technologies that define and dominate high-growth markets.

Exits include Ciena, Precise, Fundtech, EZChip, Orckit, Alvarion, Ceragon, Creo, EFI, Technomatix, BigBand, Decru, Acopia, Broadbus, Sheer Networks, Topio, Followap, Intercell, Cadent, AVT, Aeroscout, Broadlight, etc.

From 1986 to 1992, Dr. Barel served as Investment Manager and, subsequently, as Managing Partner of Techno Venture Management GmbH & Co. KG, one of the largest venture capital companies in Germany.

Dr. Barel holds a Master's Degree and Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Data Communication at the Technical University in Aachen, Germany.

Ashok Chandrasekhar

Senior Advisor

Adv. Chandrasekhar is a Senior Advisor at the Korea Israel Innovation Center. He is also Partner and the Head of the International Corporate and Securities Department at Goldfarb Seligman & Co., the largest law firm in Israel, and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Adv. Chandrasekhar specializes in the representation of clients in the hi-tech sector, and was involved in hundreds of international transactions, representing both corporations and investors in some of the most significant international transactions in the Israeli market, as well as in private equity transactions. He has been recognized as one of Israel's leading corporate, M&A, venture capital and hi-tech attorneys by a number of international guides, including Chambers & Partners, Best Lawyers and PLC Which Lawyers. In 2015, he was chosen as one of the 100 most influential people in the Israeli hi-tech industry by the leading Israeli technology website GEEKtime. He received his JD from New York University in 1990 and his BA in English Literature from Yale University in 1985. He was admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 1995 and the California Bar Association in 1990.
